Leona Lewis is an English pop and R&B singer-songwriter. Leona Lewis (birth-name: Leona Louise Lewis) was born on 3 April 1985 at Islington, London, United Kingdom. Leona Lewis rose to fame in 2006 as the winner of the third series of the British television series The X Factor. Leona Lewis has become a multi-platinum selling artist and three times Grammy Award nominee.

Leona Lewis has released two albums to date, Spirit and Echo, in 2007 and 2009 respectively. X Factor winner Leona Lewis has set a new record for the fastest-selling debut in the UK, after her album Spirit sold over 375,000 copies during its first week of release. Lewis’s total outstrips the previous record, set by the Arctic Monkeys’ 2006 debut Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not, by 12,000 copies.
