Ozzfest is an annual festival tour of the United States (and in some years, Europe) featuring performances by many heavy metal and hard rock musical groups. Ozzfest was founded by Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon Osbourne, both of whom also organize each yearly tour with their son Jack Osbourne. The Ozzfest tour has featured bands of a variety of genres within heavy metal and hard rock, including alternative metal, thrash metal, industrial metal, metalcore, hardcore punk, nu metal, death metal, gothic metal and black metal. Ozzfest was created in 1996 by Ozzy Osbourne’s wife and manager, Sharon Osbourne, when organizers of musical festival Lollapalooza refused to let Ozzy Osbourne join the tour. The Ozzfest tour was well-received, which prompted the festival to become a yearly occurrence. The inaugural Ozzfest Festival was not a national tour, but rather a two-day festival held in Phoenix, Arizona and Devore, California on October 25 and 26th, 1996 respectively. Ozzfest ventured outside the United States for the first time into the United Kingdom in 1998, which featured a different lineup of bands. The Ozzfest festival returned to the UK in 2001 and 2002.

Sting is an English musician, singer-songwriter, activist, actor and philanthropist, was born on 2nd October in 1951. Prior to starting his solo career, Sting was the principal songwriter, lead singer and bassist of the rock music band The Police. John Mayer is a famous American musician. John Mayer (original-name: John Clayton Mayer; pronounced /ˈmeɪ.ər/ MAY-ər) was born on 16 October 1977 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, US. Originally from Connecticut, John Mayer attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. John Mayer moved to Atlanta, Georgia, US in 1997, where he refined his skills and gained a following.
