Air is a music duo from Versailles, France, consisting of Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel. The name Air is a backronym for Amour, Imagination, Rêve which translates to Love, Imagination, Dream.

Air released its first album in 1997 named as ‘Premiers Symptômes’. Second album by Air, ‘Moon Safari’ released in 1998. Air released their third album ‘The Virgin Suicides’ in 2000.
